
Surakarta, Thursday, April 23, 2026 - The Islamic Education Study Program (PAI) of the Faculty of Tarbiyah at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta actively participated in the Harmonization of Faculty Work Programs held on Thursday, April 23, 2026. This activity aimed to align policy directions, work programs, and strategic development plans to better respond to the evolving challenges in higher education.
The event commenced with an opening session, followed by the singing of the Indonesian national anthem Indonesia Raya and the Mars of UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. The Dean of the Faculty of Tarbiyah, Prof. Dr. Fauzi Muharrom, delivered a welcoming speech emphasizing the importance of synergy among study programs in achieving a competitive and excellent faculty vision.
The Rector of UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta, Prof. Dr. Toto Suharto, S.Ag., M.Ag., then delivered remarks and strategic directives. He began by citing a Prophetic hadith highlighting the values of charity (sadaqah), repentance (istighfar), and humility (tawadhu’) as essential moral foundations in academic and institutional responsibilities.
Furthermore, the Rector outlined eleven strategic programs from the Ministry of Religious Affairs that should guide the development of Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKI). These include strengthening the integration of knowledge at the study program level, developing future-oriented programs, enhancing collaboration with national and international universities as well as industry partners, accelerating learning systems, evaluating graduate and institutional competitiveness, strengthening faculty capacity, integrating research and community service, positioning PTKI strategically within the national education landscape, reinforcing the role of ma’had jami’ah, formulating epistemological and scientific frameworks, and expanding international access.
The Rector also stressed the importance of incorporating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into academic writing as a form of higher education’s contribution to global sustainable development.
The event concluded with the expectation that all study programs, including the PAI Study Program, will implement the outcomes of this harmonization into more structured, innovative, and impactful work programs.
